Studio Setup

As main thing, our recording studio is equipped with an Audient audio interface, known for its clean sound and the Audient Console Mic Preamp, the same discrete circuit design found in our renowned recording console, the ASP8024-HE. For this purpose, the audio interface is connected to a dedicated studio computer with a variety of DAWs and VST tools. We also use an SSL mic preamp, filter, EQ, dynamics, and A/D conversion for a more clean DI signal. The SSL channel strip provides an affordable analogue option for a great sound.

Our place is designed to provide the best possible recording experience for artists of all genres.

MIXING ROOM

Our mixing room is equipped with high-quality monitors, audio interfaces, and channel strips, allowing us to achieve the perfect balance of sound for your tracks. In addition, we have a special configuration for pre-production and arrangement tasks, completed with a wide variety of instruments including guitars, basses, keyboards, and both acoustic and electric drums.

We use Kemper, Neural DSP, STL ToneHub, along with other VST plugins or hardware, for fast guitar or bass sound modeling on the pre-production stage, along with other VST plugins or hardware to enhance your recordings and ensure professional quality.

RECORDING ROOM

Our recording room is a 30 m² space acoustically treated with high-quality materials and perfect illumination. We use TAMA “Artist Series” drums, Ampeg and Marshall bass amps and heads, EVH 5150 or ENGL‘s guitar heads and cabinets, and a wide variety of microphones to capture live recordings of full bands with ease. In addition, we have a collection of guitars and basses from top brands like s ESP, Fender, Jackson, Takamine, Ibanez and Yamaha. This setup ensures that you have the best possible tools to create your music.

We understand the importance of recording in perfect conditions, and as such, our recording room is also equipped with an air conditioner to maintain the ideal temperature for recording.

Studio / Live Session Musician

As a skilled session musician, Jose Pineda can play guitar, bass, keyboards with modern synths, or add orchestral arrangements. His experience allows him to fit into any genre of music production.

During more than two decades he played live with his own bands:  Sphinx, Snakeyes , Cherokee or Nova Era. Also, he worked as a session musician recording bass tracks or guitars on several albums for (Legado de una Tragedia or Jose Rubio) and played live with renowed singers like Tim “Ripper” Owens (KK’s Priest and former Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Y. Malmsteen…) or Tete Novoa (Saratoga).

In every live show he have played, he connect with the audience, bringing an unique power and intensity to every performance. Whether he is playing with his own bands or as a session musician. He always bring his best effort and strive to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans.

Recording Instruments

Jose Pineda has a variety of instruments available to record, so if you have a song that requires the real upright sound, he is happy to deliver that.

Precise Instructions

To guarantee a successful and satisfactory project outcome, we have established guidelines for our collaboration.

MAIN GUIDELINES:

1. Project Overview: Provide us a comprehensive description of the project, covering elements such as music style, track count, preferred final format, and unique demands.
2. Essential Elements: Supply all components such as audio recordings, MIDI files, DAW sessions. Reference tracks to secure a seamless and productive project.
3. Communication: Maintain regular Email communication throughout the project’s lifecycle, stay informed of its progress, and allow for feedback and adjustments. We will set up a Google Drive document for that. Whatsapp messages are any hour of the day are not welcome.
4. Deadlines: Set clear deadlines and a schedule for each phase of the project to ensure prompt completion.
5. Payment: Make a 50% advance payment before starting the project and the final payment upon completion.
6. Final Approval: Review and approve the final mix, and make any needed modifications within the agreed timeframe.

ABOUT RECORDING:

1. Instrument Condition: Ensure all instruments are in good working condition and bring any necessary replacement.
2. Studio Protection: Take care and protect the studio’s equipment.

ACCOMMODATION:

1. Location: besides, we have hotel and restaurant located within 3 minutes’  from the recording room.

MIXING PREP:

1. Revision: Streamline the tracks by cutting out redundant takes and unused audio for an efficient mixing session.
2. Tagging: Organize the tracks by applying consistent labeling with no more than 6 capital letters.
3. File Transfer: Ensure seamless compatibility with preferred software.  Delivering files high-quality 24-bit / 44.1kHz or 48 kHz files, sorted in individual folders per song. We can use any cloud storing services as WeTransfer, Google Drive or Mega.

REMOTE SESSION:

1. Sound Requirements: Communicate any specific sound requirements you may have, such as desired effects, and ensure they are captured in the remote recording session.
